USAID Nutrition Resource Hub
Between September 2012 and June 2013, SPRING conducted a landscape analysis of activities of the U.S. Government's global hunger and food security initiative, Feed the Future, in 19 focus countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, and the Caribbean. This exercise generated a total of 19 country profiles. Each provided a snapshot of the USAID Mission's activities and contexts in the particular country, and described the details of agriculture and nutrition interventions; the ways nutrition outcomes are to be delivered by agriculture and economic growth activities; and the strengths and challenges observed in the current activities.

To explore the gaps in social and behavior change (SBC) resources for women’s healthy diets, USAID Advancing Nutrition identified quality SBC tools and resources through document review and expert interviews. In addition, we identified five key gaps in existing SBC resources and five recommendations for future research and SBC resource development.

Through this activity, USAID Advancing Nutrition aims to provide USAID with insights into the engagement and analysis processes for the Fill the Nutrient Gap analysis in Niger, documenting integration of secondary data sources, decision-making processes, and analytical assumptions. The consultant will review relevant documents and participate in a day-long in-person stakeholder consultation to observe and document the information presented, the discussions that occur, and recommendations shared.
