USAID Advancing Nutrition, or USAIDдин "Мыкты Азыктануу" долбоору, worked in the Kyrgyz Republic from October 2019 to November 2023, with a focus on Batken, Issyk-Kul, and Jalal-Abad Oblasts. We worked to improve the nutritional status of women of reproductive age (ages 15-49) and children under 5, focusing on the 1,000-day Window of Opportunity. USAID Advancing Nutrition worked in India from September 2021 to November 2023. The purpose of the activity was to address malnutrition among socio-economically disadvantaged families in Assam State that were negatively impacted by COVID-19, and to create knowledge exchange platforms for nutrition-sensitive agriculture to address malnutrition. USAID Advancing Nutrition provided technical assistance and built partnerships with government and private sector stakeholders to address malnutrition among 50,000 women, adolescent girls, and children using nutrition-sensitive agricultural approaches.
USAID Advancing Nutrition worked in Kenya from October 2020 to September 2023. The project worked to strengthen government capacity to plan, finance, manage, and implement multi-sectoral nutrition interventions that improve the health of populations at risk of nutritional deficiencies. This guide supports implementing partners who are involved with conducting an evaluation of an activity that uses SBC to improve multi-sectoral nutrition outcomes. The document focuses on enhancing skills by incorporating the nuances of evaluating SBC approaches for improving nutrition outcomes.
