Adolescent Nutrition Resource Bank
This resource was developed under the USAID-funded Lishe Endelevu Activity for a Social and Behavior Change Communication project, which targeted girls 15–19 in Tanzania. Materials were adapted from Growth Through Nutrition (Ethiopia). Resources include a a Swahili language training guide, posters, and games aimed at improving nutritional awareness, knowledge, and skills.

Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Resource Review
In this study, community health workers (CHWs), CHW supervisors, community representatives, and others in South Africa reported that services were comprehensive but that inadequate training, supervision, and mentoring as well as socio-economic issues impacted service effectiveness. A multidisciplinary approach to care has improved CHW knowledge and skills but more funding for training, supervision, supplies, and salaries is critical.
Adolescent Nutrition Resource Bank
This article documents the experiences of adolescent girls in selected towns in Northern Nigeria participating in care groups of 10–15 trained volunteer community-based health educators. Their experiences were captured through focus group discussions and key informant interviews. It highlights key learning points (barriers, boosters, and best practices) for International Medical Corps staff planning to include adolescents in care groups, and the wider food security/nutrition community to more effectively tailor programs to include adolescent girls and meet their unique needs.
Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Resource Review
The Care for Child Development package trains community health volunteers to help caregivers provide nurturing care and develop stronger relationships with young children. Participating volunteers reported that training increased their skills and confidence, while caregivers reported learning about feeding practices and the importance of play. The authors conclude that there is political will in Kenya to support a care package to promote optimal early child development.
Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Resource Review
Hinga Weze trained and supported farmers, partnered with financial institutions and business development service providers to create agricultural loan products, created and strengthened solidarity savings groups, and strengthened extension services. Its social inclusion strategy included partnering with women, youth, and persons with disabilities to provide agricultural equipment, income-generating assets, and improved seed varieties through grants and training on farming, entrepreneurship, and nutrition-sensitive agriculture.

USAID Nutrition Resource Hub
The Orientation Package for State Committees for Food and Nutrition (SCFNs), or SCFN Orientation Package, is a comprehensive training package meant to provide SCFNs with an overview of their mandate and roles, as well as key food and nutrition concepts. The package is meant to be used by both SCFN members and trainers working with SCFNs. For current members, the package includes a member handbook that they can use to acquaint themselves with these key topics.
