USAID Nawiri adapted the BOMA Project’s Rural Entrepreneur Access Program (REAP) in a pilot to improve nutrition outcomes among participant households and their wider communities. The implementation guide was originally developed to test USAID Nawiri’s approach to REAP for Nutrition in Samburu and Turkana. Adaptations were identified for three interventions: adapting the REAP targeting process including having a male engagement process; cooking demonstrations by leveraging chamas (local informal groups) for shared learning opportunities; and an enhanced mentoring approach that included coaching. The objective of these adaptations was to enhance nutritious practices and behaviors among REAP participants.
