Routine growth monitoring and promotion (GMP) of infants and young children provides frequent contacts with caregivers and can serve as an entry point for other essential nutrition and child health and development services. This country narrative highlights findings, challenges, good practices, and innovations from northern Ghana, which the Ghana Health Service (GHS) and stakeholders can use to foster healthy child growth and development—and share with other countries committed to helping children reach their physical and cognitive potential.
