Join us for an interactive, hands-on skill building workshop on the photo-to-illustration (PTI) process used in creating many of the high quality illustrations found in training, counseling, and advocacy tools to promote infant and young child feeding (IYCF).  Learn about the web-based IYCF Image Bank that provides access to hundreds of IYCF images and design files that can be adapted for multiple uses in a variety of contexts. The workshop includes presentations, discussions, and workstations, where participants will gain basic photography and graphic skills.

Join us to learn from the experience of USAID Maternal Child Survival Program (MCSP) in integrating Early Childhood Development (ECD) into existing nutrition services targeting infants and young children in Ghana from 2016 to 2019. The findings indicate that children whose caregivers reported engaging in more psychosocial stimulation, those with more reading materials in the home, and those with greater dietary diversity displayed stronger overall development compared to children of caregivers who reported fewer of these nurturing caregiving practices.

Join us to learn about the USAID SPRING project’s 1,000-day household approach in Ghana, an integrated, multi-sectoral approach for effective promotion of optimal infant feeding practices. The approach engaged health and agriculture professionals in 15 districts to strengthen their governance and build capacity to deliver an integrated multi-sectoral package of products and services to reach these households and communities at the same time. In addition, SPRING’s community-based approach was the inclusion of men to support nutrition in the first 1,000 days.
