Director of Measurement
Silvia Alayón provides leadership to measure USAID Advancing Nutrition’s multi-sectoral nutrition activities and use of data for continuous learning and improved impact.
She has 18 years of experience in the monitoring and evaluation of global health and nutrition programs. Prior to joining the project, she served for six years as the measurement, learning, and evaluation advisor on the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's Alive & Thrive Initiative. For 11 years, she held various roles on USAID’s flagship monitoring and evaluation project, MEASURE Evaluation. In 2005 and 2006, she served as a strategic information officer at the U.S. Department of State, Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator, launching the initial reporting system for the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief in 15 countries.
