USAID Advancing Nutrition helped organize a running competition for the residents in Batken city on May 1, 2023. The event promoted a healthy lifestyle and healthy nutrition among the population with the slogan, “Healthy life starts with healthy nutrition.” 

300 men and women between ages 18 and 70, along with representatives of different organizations of the city, participated in races for 3 and 1.5 km. The event was held in cooperation with the authorized representative office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Batken region, the Batken regional department for youth affairs, physical education and sports, and the Batken branch of the National Bank.

Throughout the event, a photo exhibition was presented with works on the topic of motherhood, health, and healthy nutrition of women and children.
