2021 is a make-or-break year for nutrition. As world leaders gather for the upcoming Food Systems Summit and Nutrition for Growth Summit later this year, we're reminded of how essential accurate and reliable data are to galvanizing nutrition action. Key actors need information they can trust to drive commitments for nutrition and ensure sustainable, equitable progress. Learning from, and building on, data measurement, and program monitoring and evaluation is critical to advancing nutrition.

The USAID Advancing Nutrition Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team supports monitoring, evaluation, and learning across sectors to inform nutrition policies and programs. They work to convene experts to discuss and provide recommendations on how to improve individual, national, and global nutrition data collection and monitoring to advance knowledge and dialogue around key nutrition and measurement themes, including anemia and micronutrient measurement.
